The Deep Blue Boat Rods have already build a ‘cult following’, since their introduction and epitomise the very best boat rods on the market today. Make no mistake, these are not US style stand-up or trolling rods. The Deep Blue range was developed over a period of 2 years to meet the requirements of UK boat fishermen, looking for perfection. The blanks have sensitive tips allowing you to feel every bite, while the steep taper, combined with varying wall thickness and an innovative mix of carbon fibre grades, provides a progressive power curve, right down to the butt. Finished in a lustrous deep blue, with subtle whippings & decals and using Fuji fittings throughout, the Deep Blue oozes class. Unlike most boat rods on the market, the Deep Blue range are accurately rated to IGFA line classes, so if we say it’s a 12lb Class, it is. At 7ft 7ins they offer the ideal length for the serious boat angler and include a model to suit all fishing situations. The 3 lighter rods in the range, the 8lb, 12lb & 20lb use a push-in spigot join for the butt section, while the heavier 30lb & 50lb use the Fuji screw reel fitting.

At 6ft 6ins they are the ideal length for Speed Jigging long enough to ‘work’ the jig effectively, but short enough to apply pressure to set the hook, when the inevitable ‘smash takes’ occur.

The ultra-fast blanks use our well proven ‘Tri-Modulus Carbon’ Technology. A subtle mix of varying modulus carbon fibres down through the blank, achieves the exact action required a fast, but sensitive tip, with a smooth, progressive power curve, right through to the butt. To help achieve this, we used a unique carbon lay-up, called ‘Helical-Core Construction’, whereby strips of carbon ‘pre-preg’ matt progressively overlap one another to create an ultra-light, but immensely strong blank, with a gradually increasing stiffness. A section of the blank is left exposed to show this distinctive construction method.
