Uptide Rods. Suveran, Conolon and Esprit

Twist and lock butt Feature on Uptide Rods from Abu

The new 'twist n lok' butt enables the length of the butt to be extended for casting, and shortened for playing fish, turning a casting rod into a fishing rod in seconds. Long handles have always been a problem, especially on small boats where room is minimal. The Abu Suveran and Conolon Pro Uptide rods solve the problem. These models are certainly over-engineered and will handle almost anything that swims around our coast line. The perfect reel partners are any Ambassudeur 7000 or 7500 size reel and 20lb ironsilk or Big Game line. I also recommend 30lb Berkley Fireline on these rods.

Suveran & Conolon Pro Uptider
Like all rods encompassed within the Suveran series the Suveran uptider and boat rods are incredibly light yet outstandingly powerful. The blanks are manufactured from hand-laid 1K-3K woven graphite and the guides are Fugi original. Match with the new Ambassadeur 7000i Hi-Speed Mag to make the perfect all round combination.

Esprit Braid Uptide
Using braid for uptide fi shing makes sense, the thinner diameter

superlines cut through the tide easier meaning you can use much less lead too grip the bottom. The Esprit Uptide 9ft 6 are equally at home with mono lines such as Big Game. The action of this uptide rod is more forgiving to allow for the zero stretch of superline. Tremendous strength is built into the blank using Multi-Dynamics technology making this rod an excellent all rounder.
